I wrote this awhile ago and it is not very good but, here we are:
One day in the month of May, a family bought chickens. They bought six baby chickens. This family consisted of a mother, father, and their three year old son. Their boy was called Danny. Danny had a friend from daycare, with whom he spent a lot of his time with, her name was Grace. They were both the same age of three years. “Mommy, can I hold the chicks?” Danny asked his mother. Danny and his mother went to their basement where the chickens live, until they are two months old. “Now, Danny, hold her just like this.” His mother said. Danny held the baby chicks, he loved them. Grace’s mother dropped Grace off at Danny’s house. Grace loved the chicks too. As the chicks grew, so did the children. The children seemed to bond with only one of the hens, they named her Celia. The two months flew by and soon, the hens were in their coop. Everyday, Grace would come over and play with Danny and Celia. They would pretend they were their favorite characters out of their storybooks. Celia was always gentle with the children. She never bit them but, would play gently with them. Grace and Danny grew and started going to Kindergarten, Celia wondered where they were. But, at the end of the day, the children went out to play with their favorite chicken. Celia and the other chickens were getting older, so did the children. The chickens were about three years old when the children turned six. Celia and the others started to lay only one egg a week. Danny’s mother bought some more chicks but, noticed her son would not play with them. It is always Celia, Danny’s mother thought. His mother could not keep Celia and the other chickens anymore. Danny was very sad. When Grace and Danny were eight years old, they realized that they would hopefully see Celia and friends in Heaven one day.
